COMPTIA A+

In this course, students will acquire the essential skills and information needed to install, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, and perform preventative mainte-nance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems. This course prepares students for the CompTIA A+ exams (220-901 & 220-902).

COMPTIA NETWORK+

In this course, student will describe the major networking technologies and systems of modern networks, and be able to configure, manage, and troubleshoot modern networks. This course will help students prepare for the N10-006 exam and certification.

COMPTIA SECURITY+

In this course, students will implement, monitor, and trou-bleshoot infrastructure, application, information, and op-erational security. This course will help prepare students for the CompTIA Security + certification exam.

WINDOWS 10

(20697-1) INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING WINDOWS 10

Students will gain the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops and devices in a Windows Server domain corporate environment.

(20697-2) DEPLOYING AND MANAGING WINDOWS 10 USING ENTERPRISE SERVICES

This course provided IT professionals with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops in a Windows Server small to medium-sized Active Directory Do-main Services domain environment.

WINDOWS SERVER 2016

(20740) INSTALLATION, STORAGE, AND COMPUTE WITH WINDOWS SERVER 2016

This course is for professionals who will be responsible for managing storage and compute by using Windows Server 2016, and who need to understand the scenarios, requirements, and storage and compute options that are available and applicable to Windows Server 2016.

(20741) NETWORKING WITH WINDOWS SERVER 2016

This course provides the fundamental networking skills re-quired to deploy and support Windows Server 2016 in most organizations. It covers IP fundamentals, remote access tech-nologies, and more advanced content, including Software De-fined Networking.

(20742) IDENTIFY WITH WINDOWS SERVER 2016

This course teaches IT pros how to deploy and configure Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in a distributed environ-ment, how to implement Group Policy, how to perform backup and restore, and how to monitor and troubleshoot Active Direc-tory-related issues with Windows Server 2016.

New Horizons Minnesota Application Process

Your New Horizons Minnesota career consultant will review and assist you through the New Horizons Minnesota application process to help kick start your way to a new or advanced IT career. We will help you select and customize the program that is right for you.

You will need to provide the New Horizons Certifying Official a copy of your VA GI Bill® Certificate of Eligibility and your Application for VA Education Benefits (VA Form 22-1990) to include, but not limited to:

  • DD Form 214 (Member 4) for all periods of active duty service (excluding active duty for training)
  • DD Form 2384, Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE) if applying for Chapter 1606
  • Copies of orders if activated from the guard/reserves
